Words of Wisdom Wednesdays

Yesterday and todays run consisted easy miles. 7 yesterday and 6 1/2 today at about an 8:30 pace. I am kind of gearing up for my long run :).

I thought it might be fun to share little tidbits of wisdom on Wednesdays that encourage or inspire me! With all of my wisdom tidbits know that these can be a challenge for me too!

Today’s topic: Gratitude. It is so each to spend time focusing on what we want or “need” and forget about all that we have. (myself totally included!)







So the challenge today is to make a list of some things that you are thankful for. They do not have to be big things. I think that the more we start giving thanks for the little things, the more that we will realize we have!


I have so many things in my life to be thankful for, and although every day is not a great day….I am one blessed woman! I want to teach my kids to be thankful and to recognize even the small daily blessings that God gives us.

blog5I think it is so important when we get discouraged to think of some things that we can be thankful for…there is always something!!!


Okay so that is all for my first week of words of wisdom Wednesday….I hope you find this encouraging and thought-provoking!!!

blog7I am thankful for a wonderful God who has blessed me far beyond what I deserve. I am thankful for an amazing husband and daughters that give me a reason to smile every day. I am thankful for some wonderful friends who mean so very much to me, my church, my Bible and prayer. I am thankful for a house to live in and a car to drive. I am thankful for the ability to run and the people I have met from it. I am thankful for summer, and in the winter I am thankful that my car has heated seats :). CHOCOLATE!!! ,in particular peanut butter m&m’s…which reminds me I am thankful for peanut butter, bagels, goldfish crackers, pro compression socks, Mizuno running shoes, the internet… and I am thankful that you are reading my blog!!! In all honesty the list could go on and on!

    What a good reminder! I am in love with peanut butter m&ms! I had to laugh that your easy runs are the length on my long runs 🙂 Have a wonderful week!

    I love the idea of Words of Wisdom Wednesdays, and what a great topic to start with! I have that second quote on one of my pinterest boards 🙂
    It’s all too easy to forget that what we have now is something we really wanted at some point, but this is a wonderful reminder.
    I’m thankful for my job, my dog, and my healthy body 🙂 (of course anything with peanut butter too)

    Not only is gratefulness important in all aspects of life I find it very true with running/fitness. I can easily get in a slump where I “can’t find the time” to fit in my workouts, and that can get frustrating. But I’ve found that if I focus on how grateful I am that I can run and why I love to do it, I’m much more motivated to find the space for me!

      Agreed. When we get in a slump just being thankful that we can run, and not even worry about the length or pace of the run, helps to renew a love for it!!! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!!
