An update & happy Run at Work Day!!!

First let me start with two beautiful things! First this…

Then this…

The first picture was taken yesterday after our crazy storm, and if you look closely enough you can see 2 rainbows.

The second one was my run from this morning. Yup, that’s right! I was able to do 6.4 easy miles this morning pretty much pain-free. I must say, I was a bit nervous so I am probably super aware of any pain I feel. I took it easy and really did not feel it too much at all. I think I am going to stick with a few more easy days before I do anything hard. My next hard effort will be 10-12 miles at marathon pace…about 7:22….not quite sure, but I am thinking Monday or Tuesday.

My husband is doing the marathon with me and his hamstring is bothering him…so I am praying that it goes away so he can train like he wants to! It is so hard to have any type of injury small or large that prevents you from training the way you hope to!

Happy Run at Work Day!!!! Now that is a cool holiday. I think all employees should get an extra hour for lunch to help them get their run in today!!! 🙂

Speaking of running and working…..I want this job!

Running Concierge

A full-time running concierge…just awesome! I love what he said about stocking the mini-bars with Gatorade and bananas and setting up rooms to accommodate runners! What a cool guy!

I alo have an update from our Running the USA project…which you can read about here Running the USA

Running concierge? Wow, that is an AWESOME job! Going to check out your Running in the USA project too! So glad you were able to run pain free today. I did my long run this morning, and I was beat! Think the hard trail run last weekend and tough speed & tempo workouts this week caught up to me. But glad to have it done!

I’m glad you’re back to running pain-free, I hope it stays that way! Sorry about your husband though – hopefully he’ll heal up soon!
That running concierge job is SO COOL. Chris sounds like the perfect guy for that job too.

Thanks! I know…I feel bad for him. He was able to go to the chiropractor this week though…he thinks his back is affecting his hamstring.
